Antique HMS Foudroyant Nelson’s Flagship vesta match safe/match holder. This collectible metal souvenir features a detailed relief image of HMS Foudroyant, the famous flagship associated with Admiral Nelson. The front is marked: “Foudroyant Nelson’s Flagship” “Commenced 1789” “Launched 1798” “Wrecked 1897” “Blackpool” The piece retains its original hinged lid and striker surface along the bottom edge. A maker’s mark is stamped inside the lid. Constructed of copper or bronze-toned metal with an attractive aged patina acquired through years of use and storage.
