Original December 1932 registered postal cover from France, addressed personally to: His Excellency Governor Roosevelt Executive Chamber Albany, N.Y. États-Unis d’Amérique The envelope was mailed shortly after Franklin D. Roosevelt’s election as president and before his March 1933 inauguration, making it an appealing president-elect-period artifact. The cover features: * Three French postage stamps with clear cancellations * French registered-mail label * Handwritten “Personal” and “Recommandé” markings * Multiple New York and Albany transit/arrival postmarks dated 1932 * Original dark-blue wax seal on the reverse * Red provenance stamp reading: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D.
