1933 Cuba Registered Cover to FDR H.R. Harmer Authenticated # 1111

Original 1933 registered postal cover from Havana, Cuba, addressed directly to: Hon. Franklin D. Roosevelt President of the United States Washington, D.C. The envelope bears two Cuban postage stamps, Havana cancellations dated October 11, 1933, and an original numbered Republic of Cuba registered-mail label. The reverse includes a Washington, D.C. registered-mail receiving postmark dated October 16, 1933. The back also carries the important red provenance marking: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION — AUTHENTICATED BY H. R. HARMER INC., N.Y.” This marking documents the cover’s association with Franklin D. Roosevelt’s personal stamp collection.
