1932 Cuba Cover to President-Elect Franklin D Roosevelt Collection Harmer # 1112

Original 1932 postal cover mailed from Cuba to President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt at the E.E.U.U. Norte América, with two period Cuban postage stamps and clear postal cancellations. The reverse bears a Warm Springs, Georgia, December 8, 1932 postmark and a red provenance stamp reading: “From the Franklin D. Roosevelt Collection — Authenticated by H. R. Harmer Inc., N.Y.” An interesting piece of presidential, philatelic, and pre-inauguration history dating from shortly after Roosevelt’s 1932 election victory. The handwritten markings on the front are included as part of the original cover but are not represented as Franklin D. Roosevelt’s autograph.
