Original May 22, 1929 handwritten letter on Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Company letterhead, stamped Loris, South Carolina, and addressed to Claudia at Gallivants Ferry, S.C. Signed by local businessman A. F. Cannon. The letter discusses estate debts, a $250 Bell mortgage, interest paid by J. W. Mishoe, doctor and burial expenses, and the proposed private division of undeveloped family land rather than a sale for division. An unusual piece of Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, Horry County and South Carolina legal-family history. Original folds, toning, light staining and edge wear; writing remains clear and complete.
