The note was payable to Goldfinch’s, Inc., a long-established Conway funeral business, and was due September 15, 1958, with 5% interest after maturity. The document includes handwritten entries, original signatures, a red Professional Discount Corporation of Spartanburg, S.C. processing stamp, and four attached 8-cent South Carolina Documentary revenue stamps, totaling 32 cents.
