Original 1934 U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA) Application for Price-Equalizing Payment for Flue-Cured Tobacco from Horry County, South Carolina. Completed for Douglas Doyle of Galivants Ferry, S.C., this early New Deal farm document records 1933 flue-cured tobacco sales and was submitted under the Agricultural Adjustment Act to qualify for a federal price-equalizing payment. The application lists tobacco sold, net proceeds, contract information, trustee designation, committee certifications, notary certification, and multiple original signatures. Dated January 23, 1934, with county committee approvals dated March 13, 1934. Includes the original embossed notary seal, USDA committee approvals, and official government printing. An outstanding piece of South Carolina agricultural, tobacco, USDA, and Franklin D. Roosevelt New Deal history.
