Original French pneumatic-mail envelope sent through the Paris underground tube-post system on January 4, 1903. The envelope is addressed to the information department of Le Petit Journal at 61 Rue Lafayette, Paris, and bears a 50-centime rose Télégraphie stamp with Paris pneumatic-post cancellations and an additional transit or receiving mark. Printed French postal regulations remain visible on the reverse. Genuine period postal-history item showing the rapid urban message-delivery system used in early-20th-century Paris. Condition includes age toning, edge wear, an opened flap, small tears and notable paper loss at the upper-right rear corner. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
