1911 Bavaria to New York 5pf Underpaid Postcard US J46 2¢ Due # 1202

Original 1911 Kingdom of Bavaria postal-history postcard mailed from Nuremberg, Germany, to New York City. The card is franked with a green 5-pfennig Bavarian Prince Regent Luitpold stamp and was underpaid for the international postcard rate. Postal authorities applied a boxed “T” taxation marking, a circular “DUE 2 CENTS” handstamp and a United States 2-cent postage-due stamp, creating an attractive mixed-country postal usage. The card also features clear Nuremberg and New York postal markings, a purple G. Geck & Co., Nürnberg business cachet and a complete handwritten German message dated May 1911. A desirable example of early 20th-century Bavaria-to-America postage-due mail, with both German and United States stamps remaining attached. Condition shows age-related toning, light stains, handling wear, softened corners and minor creasing. Stamps and postal markings remain clearly visible.
