Original 1894 postal stationery card mailed from Budapest, Hungary to New York City. The card bears a Hungarian 2-kreuzer indicium, Budapest departure cancel, New York receiving markings, and a tied United States 2¢ Postage Due stamp, believed to be Scott J32 deep claret. The card was marked “Collect Postage 2 Cents,” making it an attractive example of late-19th-century international postage-due postal history. Handwritten message remains on the reverse.
