Original 1890 Swiss postal stationery envelope mailed from Verscio, Switzerland, to Torino, Italy. The envelope features an embossed green 25-rappen Swiss indicium and was assessed additional postage upon arrival. A large “T” postage-due marking appears on the front, along with an Italian 50-centesimi Segnatasse postage-due stamp tied by Torino postal cancellations. Multiple transit and receiving postmarks remain visible on the reverse, creating an attractive example of late-19th-century Swiss–Italian international postal history. The handwritten notation on the reverse appears to reference insufficient postage and a 15-gram weight classification. The envelope likely exceeded the prepaid weight limit, resulting in the 50-centesimi charge collected in Italy.
