Original 1965 Chicago Philatelic Society 79th Anniversary Exhibition souvenir sheet featuring Abraham Lincoln and a reproduction of the portrait credited on the sheet to photographer Alexander Gardner. Issued for the society’s exhibition held at the Sherman House in Chicago on November 12–14, 1965. The printed text describes the image as Lincoln’s last photograph from life, taken five days before his death. This example is the black-print variety. This is a collectible philatelic exhibition item and Lincoln commemorative, not an original 1865 photograph. Condition shows light age toning, minor edge and corner wear, faint handling marks, and a small brown spot or puncture visible on the reverse near the upper-right area.
