Original circa 1910 divided-back postcard depicting the American Consulate in Reichenberg, Austria-Hungary, now Liberec in the Czech Republic. The front shows a detailed architectural view of the consulate with a color-tinted American flag flying above the building.
Mailed from Bohemia to Long Island City, New York, with its original Austrian 10-heller Emperor Franz Joseph postage stamp and postal cancellation. The handwritten message includes Christmas and New Year greetings “from far Bohemia.”
An uncommon postcard with American diplomatic, Austro-Hungarian and Czech regional-history interest. Review all photos for condition.
