1942 Suriname WWII Censored KLM Airmail Cover to USA w/ OC-3 # 1238

Original 1942 World War II airmail cover mailed from Suriname to Oradell, New Jersey. The envelope bears 15-cent and 20-cent Suriname Luchtpost stamps, postal cancellations, a KLM/Royal Dutch Air Lines airmail label, and multiple wartime censorship markings. Includes “Censor Suriname,” “Royal Netherlands Navy Passed by Censor,” and “Examined By” sealing tapes, along with the original U.S. Office of Censorship Form OC-3 stating that the entire contents were missing when the letter was opened by the censor. A desirable WWII postal-history piece with international airmail, naval censorship, and double-censor interest. Condition shows age-related toning, stains, creases, edge wear, tape wear, small tears, writing and handling marks. The original letter contents are not present.
