1896 France 50c Chaplain Paris Pneumatic Carte-Telegramme # 1241

Original 1896 French Paris pneumatic-post “Carte-Télégramme” featuring the black 50-centime Chaplain Télégraphe printed indicium. The card was used and bears blue Paris telegraph cancellations, handwritten addressing, and a complete period message in French on the reverse. This form was intended for rapid delivery through Paris’s underground pneumatic-tube postal system and was restricted to circulation within the fortified city limits. Condition shows age-related toning, center and handling creases, scattered marks, edge and corner wear, and light surface soiling. The printed indicium, postal cancellations, and handwriting remain clearly visible. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
