Authentic 1894 French Paris pneumatic-post telegram, commonly known as a “Petit Bleu.” Printed on blue-green postal stationery with the 50-centime République Française Télégraphe design by Chaplain and a Paris cancellation dated March 29, 1894. Addressed to Monsieur Poubla, 68 Avenue de Saint-Ouen, Paris. The reverse contains a complete handwritten French business message requesting urgent pricing, installation information and delivery times, with references to Hyères and Algiers. The front bears an oval business stamp from: Geneste, Herscher & Cie — Constructeurs 42 Rue du Chemin-Vert, Paris A fascinating piece of late-19th-century French postal, telegraph and industrial history. The company stamp and commercial message make this example more interesting than a typical personal pneumatic telegram, although it is not considered a major postal rarity. Condition shows original folds, light staining, ink marks, edge wear and general age-related handling. Writing and printed details remain clearly visible.
