Original 1894 Paris pneumatic-post telegram letter card, commonly known as a French “Petit Bleu.” Printed on blue postal stationery with a black 50-centime République Française “TÉLÉGRAPHE” Chaplain imprint and multiple Paris postal cancellations, including Gare Saint-Lazare. Dated February 16, 1894 and addressed to the director of La Garantie Immobilière. The lengthy handwritten French message concerns delayed property repairs, tenants, an inspection, and a police-related order. The front includes the handwritten instruction “Voir au dos,” meaning “See reverse.” An interesting original piece of late-19th-century Paris postal, telegraph, real-estate, and social history. The business name may also interest researchers of historical Paris firms; however, no connection to any notable individual is claimed. Condition: Original used condition with folds, toning, ink markings, postal handling wear, edge wear, and small tears consistent with age.
