Rare 1930s Franklin D. Roosevelt presidential postal cover from Havana, Cuba, addressed directly to President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the White House in Washington, D.C. The envelope was sent by Frank Rose, Apartado 931, Havana, Cuba and is marked Air Mail / Por Correo Aereo. It retains its original Cuban 10¢ airmail stamp with Havana postal cancellation, appearing dated October 15, 1934. Most importantly, the reverse bears the red provenance marking: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION – AUTHENTICATED BY H.R. HARMER INC., N.Y.” This identifies the cover as originating from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s famous personal philatelic collection.
