1933 FDR White House Personal Cover France Wax Seal Harmer Provenance # 1298

Authentic 1933 postal cover addressed directly to President Franklin D. Roosevelt at the White House in Washington, D.C., mailed from France and bearing six red 50-centime République Française stamps with period postal cancellations. The front is handwritten “Président Roosevelt,” “Washington,” “Maison Blanche,” “États-Unis d’Amérique,” and prominently marked “Personnelle” (Personal). The reverse bears a handwritten French notation referring to family papers and indicating that secretaries were not to open the envelope, adding unusual presidential and archival interest. The back retains a substantial red wax seal and, most importantly, is stamped: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION — AUTHENTICATED BY H. R. HARMER INC., N.Y.” H.R.
