Authentic 1932 French postal cover addressed to Franklin D. Roosevelt while he was Governor of New York, during his successful first presidential campaign. The typed address reads: “His Excellency Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt Executive Mansion Albany New York State.” The envelope is also handwritten “Personal,” adding interest as correspondence intended specifically for Roosevelt. It bears three red 50-centime République Française stamps, totaling 1.50 francs, with a clear Paris Rue de la Boétie cancellation dated September 16, 1932.
