Vintage 1933 Mexico postal cover addressed to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, with desirable presidential and philatelic provenance. The front is handwritten in Spanish to President Roosevelt and bears a 10-centavo Mexican postage stamp with a Mexico, D.F. 1933 cancellation. The reverse carries the important red provenance handstamp: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION AUTHENTICATED BY H. R. HARMER INC., N.Y.” This identifies the cover as having come from Franklin D. Roosevelt’s personal stamp collection, which was later dispersed by H.R. Harmer.
