Vintage April 5, 1933 Mexico postal cover addressed directly to President Franklin D. Roosevelt, with strong presidential and philatelic provenance. The front is handwritten to Franklin Roosevelt, President of the U.S.A., Washington, D.C. and bears a pair of Mexican 6-centavo postage stamps canceled Mexico, D.F., 5 ABR 33 — April 5, 1933. This date is particularly desirable because the cover was mailed only about one month after Roosevelt’s March 4, 1933 inauguration, during the very beginning of his first presidential term. The reverse bears the red provenance handstamp: “FROM THE FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT COLLECTION AUTHENTICATED BY H. R.
