The front is handwritten and appears addressed to: Schuyler S. Day, Esq. 149 Broadway New York City U.S.A. The cover is additionally endorsed “Via Cherbourg,” indicating its transatlantic routing through the important French port of Cherbourg. Franked with a 25-centimos Spanish postage stamp depicting King Alfonso XIII, tied by a period postal cancellation.
