Original early 1900s postcard showing the interior of Guadalupe Church in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, published by The Aztec Store, C. Juarez, Mexico, No. 514. The front caption reads: “Interior Guadalupe Church, Erected A.D. 1549, Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.” The reverse is handwritten and addressed to Miss Blanche Williams, Wheelersburg, Ohio, U.S.A. It retains its original green Mexico 2-centavos postage stamp with a Ciudad Juárez postal cancellation. A desirable piece of early Mexican border-town postal history combining Ciudad Juárez history, religious architecture, an early Mexican stamp, and genuine period correspondence. Condition: Antique used condition with age toning, light staining/soiling, corner and edge wear, and a small crease near the top edge. Stamp remains attached and the church image displays very well.
