1837 Oneida County, New York Debt Bond – Luther Eastman to George Stodard Original 1837 handwritten and printed debt bond from Vernon, Oneida County, New York, executed by Luther Eastman in favor of George Stodard. The bond states a penal amount of $700, securing an underlying debt of $350, payable in three equal annual installments with interest, with the first payment due April 15, 1838. The document is signed “Luther Eastman” at the bottom and retains its original red seal. A witness signature is also present. The reverse contains period handwritten docketing identifying Luther Eastman to George Stodard – Bond for $350, along with later handwritten payment/receipt notations.
