William Dennison Signed 1865 Autograph Cut Lincoln Cabinet Postmaster Gen #1448

Original William Dennison Jr. autograph cut, measuring approximately 3½” x 2½”. Signed “Wm Dennison / Ohio” and dated July 10, 1865. Dennison served as U.S. Postmaster General in Abraham Lincoln’s Cabinet and continued in office under President Andrew Johnson following Lincoln’s assassination. The lower portion contains an old handwritten identification referencing Dennison as Postmaster General in Lincoln’s Cabinet. The piece shows expected age toning, old mounting/tape remnants, corner and edge wear, and faint writing on the reverse. Please examine all photographs carefully for condition.
