1928 Brunswick Records Panatrope Advertising Airmail Cover Los Angeles #1477

Original 1928 Brunswick advertising envelope featuring the “Brunswick Panatropes–Radiolas–Records” company logo and typed “VIA AIR MAIL” notation underlined in red. Mailed from Los Angeles, California, on August 17, 1928, to the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co., Panatrope Division, at 623 South Wabash Avenue in Chicago. The reverse bears a Chicago arrival postmark dated August 19, 1928, and the printed return address for Brunswick’s Los Angeles Panatrope Department. Franked with a U.S. 5¢ Beacon airmail stamp, canceled with a “Notify Your Correspondents of Change of Address” postal slogan. An appealing piece of early recorded-music, phonograph, radio, and commercial airmail history. Condition: Age-related toning, light creasing, minor edge and corner wear, and postal ink marks.
