Original 1907 New York County Sheriff’s Office postal cover featuring an attractive printed “Sheriff’s Office, County of New York” corner design. The cover is postmarked New York, January 16, 1907 and retains its original 2¢ Washington postage stamp, tied to the envelope by a bold machine cancellation. A receiving/postal marking is also present on the reverse. Addressed in period handwriting to Milton A. Fowler, Esq., Poughkeepsie, New York.
